Teacher Workshops
Mohican Outdoor School offers teacher workshops which often provide graduate credit or contact hours for professional development. We are facilitators of the following national/international curriculum which correlate with national and state learning standards: Project WILD, Project Learning Tree, Flying Wild, Wonders of Wetlands, and Healthy Water, Healthy People. We are also certified to provide training in archery and Square Foot Gardening.
This spring, Moihcian Outdoor School is partnering to promote the GREET Workshop Series. GREET is the Greater Richland Environmental Education Team, and Mohican School is one of the participating organizations of this group. Mohican School is sponsoring two workshops as part of this series.
Project WILD/Aquatic WILD will be offered on March 19-20. This workshop will focus on activities not before presented at an MOS WILD workshop, so those who have already attended a WILD workshop may want to come and learn new activities.
Project Learning Tree Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood will be offered on April 13. This is a new curriculum, and expected to be a very popular workshop for those working in early childhood.
