2010 Resident Camp Schedule
June 13 - 18: Leadership Camp
Develop skills that will help you be a leader in life. Gain confidence in yourself and learn to encourage others to succeed. Make lifetime friends, learn new skills and have fun! Some of the activities for the week will be completing a high ropes course, leading younger campers in activities, swimming, tubing, canoeing and kayaking. Intended for campers entering grades 9 – 12 during the 2010-2011 schoolyear. Camp session begins at 4:00 pm Sunday and ends at 10:30 am Friday.
June 13 - 18: Sr. Nature Camp
Use a compass, cook over an open fire, build and sleep in a shelter, and learn some new outdoor skills. Some of the activities for the week include canoeing, fishing , tubing and swimming. Intended for campers entering grades 7-12 during the 2010-2011 schoolyear. Camp session begins at 4:00 pm Sunday and ends at 10:30 am Friday.
June 20 - 25: Waterdrum Science Camp
The theme this summer is Native Americans. Explore some of native skills with a hands-on learning experience. Learn songs, take a canoe trip. Swimming, tubing, and archery will be supplemental activities throughout the week. Activities will stress science, math and language concepts. Intended for students entering grades 4-6 during the 2010-2011 schoolyear and enrolled in gifted programs. Camp session begins at 4:00 pm Sunday and ends at 10:30 am Friday.
June 20 - 25: Junior Nature Camp
Learn survival skills and how to cook over a fire, and sleep out in a shelter that you built! Activities include canoeing, tubing, swimming, fishing, archery, crafts and songs. Intended for students entering grades 4-6 during the 2010-2011 schoolyear. Camp session begins at 4:00 pm Sunday and ends at 10:30 am Friday.
NEW! August 21 - 22: Fishing Camp NEW!
Campers ages 12 and older will have the opportunity to fish from a pontoon boat and learn to clean and cook their catch! This camp session begins at 4:00 pm Saturday and ends at 4:00 pm Sunday.
NEW! August 27 - 29: GO! Adventure Weekend NEW!
Campers ages 18 and older can Get Out! and have fun canoeing, kayaking camping, cooking over a fire and making new friends. This camp session begins at 7:00 pm Friday and ends at 4:00 pm Sunday.
